Servant • Mark 10:42 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 43 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Servants • 1 peter 2:161Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. • Matthew 6:24 – No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

  9. Obedience of Faith • Paul Obedience and Faith are inseparable • Heb 5:9 he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him • Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you • The letter starts with obedience to faith and closes with it Rom 16:26

  10. Pauls calling their position • Roms 1: 6-7 • The implication From V5 is that they are part of his callin and ministry • To All who are loved by God and called to be his Holy people

  12. That I might impart • To understand impartation, you have to know that the root is in the Old Testament Anointing. • That we might be mutually encouraged 1Cor 14:26 • Mutual faith

  13. I am ready and I am not ashamed • 1 Peter 3:151But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hopethat you have.
