  3. Childhood and Education!!! • When she was a kid she kept notebooks full of famous quotes, and still does today. • She went to college at Ohio University. And was a outstanding student in English class!!! • At night she would leave her window open, hoping a vampire would come in.

  5. Awards • Her book The Kindness of Strangers the Great Lakes Book Award for Fiction. • Even though her book Reasons to be Happy did NOT win a award I think it should have won the Newbery Award because it was a great book and it could help people with bulimia.
