  25. Planning Considerations Focus response efforts on: South Florida Panhandle Task Force Florida – Mississippi Shelterees from other states Tropical Storm Ophelia Keep the emergency worker safe. Emergency workers must go through “check-in.” Anticipate - What resources will likely be needed.

ESF 13 – Military Support • Current Issues • 476 Soldiers & Airmen on Title 82 (ADSW) for Katrina • MS: 381, FL: 95 Soldiers & Airmen • Cost: $2,863,027.60 • Task Force Engineers continue to work on Civic Center which will be set up to support MS EOC, clean up and prep of Waveland High School, and the reopening of Stennis High. • 1-265th Air Defense Artillery has 20 Ongoing Missions: 3 POD security, 2 POD distribution sites, 4 traffic control points, 6 point security sites, 4 security patrols and 1 presence security force. • Distributed 43,227 bags of ice, 21,628 cases of water & 27,561 cases of MREs as of Thursday • Support from 708th CS Co, 144th Trans Co, 146th SC Bn, A/161st Med Co • Task Force Spoon: 10 Soldiers (Cooks) at CRTC Gulfport, MS • Forward Logistics Element (FLE) Pensacola Armory supporting Joint Task Force-FL • Unmet Needs • None at this time • Future Operations • Planning Leader's RECON of next MS rotation.
