  9. ADMITTED STUDENT CHECKLIST Major Selection You are assigned an academic advisor based on the major indicated on your admissions application. • Change your major by e-mailing the Office of Admissions at majorchange@ttu.edu • Keep restricted majors in mind

ADMITTED STUDENT CHECKLIST Placement Exams • Mathematics – The Math Placement Exam ensures that you enroll in the math course that best matches your major and skills. • To enroll in the appropriate math course, you must pass the Mathematics Placement Exam or meet one of the following exemptions: • An SAT math score of at least 610 • An ACT math score of at least 26 • College credit for the appropriate prerequisite course from an accredited college or university • Chemistry • Based on your major, you may be required to take the Chemistry Placement Exam. • A complete list of majors is online.

ADMITTED STUDENT CHECKLIST Credit by Exam • CLEP Tests • Tests offered during each NSO session. • Complete list online at www.depts.ttu.edu/testing. • Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) • Earn credit in a variety of subjects with minimum required scores. • Complete list of accepted exams and minimum scores online at www.depts.ttu.edu/testing . • Foreign Language • The Texas Tech Department of Classical and Modern Languages & Literatures offer language placement exams during every NSO session. • Earn up to 16 hours of course credit.

ADMITTED STUDENT CHECKLIST Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Compliance Texas state law requires entering students to complete a TSI approved test or meet exemptions before enrolling at any public college or university. • Report official TSI scores or provide documentation of an exemption before attending NSO. • Exemptions listed online. www.depts.ttu.edu/registrar/TSI • Academic Testing Services can provide tests

ADMITTED STUDENT CHECKLIST University Parking Services www.parking.ttu.edu • If you plan to bring a vehicle to campus, you must register with University Parking Services and purchase a parking permit. • Pre-order your parking permit online. Immunization Records www.ttuhsc.edu/studenthealth • Show proof of 2 MMR (Measles-Mumps-Rubella) vaccinations during your lifetime. • Fax or mail records to Student Health Services.
