The Project • Strengthen current college access collaboratives and elevate them to formal, sustainable networks using Collective Impact and Strive frameworks • Produce LCAN Implementation Guide by drawing upon experience of 8 LCAN Demonstration Sites. Disseminate broadly. • Outcome Goals • Student college readiness, enrollment, and completion outcomes consistently trending in the right direction over the long-term • LCANs exhibit signs of systematic change

  7. Building an LCAN Step-By-Step Pre-Conditions: • Identify the problem in the community • Identify influential champions • Articulate urgency for change • Secure financial resources

Building an LCAN Step-By-Step Planning • College access landscape scan • Gather baseline data • Establish initial governance structure • Establish common goals, shared measures and formal boundaries • Formalize backbone infrastructure • Align existing organizations to shared goals and measures • Create coordinated, strategic action plan focused on priority areas • Formalize network structure with additional levels of collaboration (Teams)

Building an LCAN Step-By-Step Ongoing Implementation: • Systematically collect data and evaluate on a continuous process • Establish processes to enable active learning and course correcting LCAN should eventually embody: • Formal local partnership structure • Data-driven decision making • Continuous improvement methodology
