  6. D. G. Lindsay describes the relation between the complexity of the atom and the Creator:What is the binding force of an atom? Scientists have discovered this binding force and its properties have been worked out mathematically, but they do not know what it is or how it got there. Recently they have

  7. found two new forces within the atom called the pi-mesons. They believe the pimesons may be the energy holding things together. It is totally invisible; it can’t be seen, felt, tasted or weighed. But it is there! What is this nuclear glue?(Source: D. G. Lindsay, c1991, The Origins Controversy: Creation or Chance (Dallas: Christ for the Nations, 1999).

  9. Psalm 2:1-4:Why do the nations rage,And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves,And the rulers take counsel together,Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,

  10. “Let us break Their bonds in piecesAnd cast away Their cords from us.”He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.

  11. Providence:God ordaining what comes to passGod ordering and directing our lives according to His willGod knows everything we are going to do and is aware of every detail.God governs the world

  12. Matthew 10:29-31:Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

  13. Genesis 50:20:But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

  14. Proverbs 21:1:The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord,Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.

  15. Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

  16. Proverbs 3:5-6:Trust in the Lord with all your heart,And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him,And He shall direct your paths.

  17. I Kings 12:15:So the king (Rehoboam) did not listen to the people; for the turn of events was from the Lord, that He might fulfill His word,

  18. 1. God has ordained His will for us before time began

  19. Ephesians 2:10:For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

  20. 2. God reveals His will in His Word

  21. John 7:17:If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.

  22. Psalm 119:105:Your word is a lamp to my feetAnd a light to my path.

  23. Ephesians 5:17:Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

  24. Ephesians 5:18:And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

  25. 2 Timothy 3:16-17:All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

  26. 3. The Holy Spirit Illuminates The Word and Will of God

  27. Psalm 119:133:Direct my steps by Your word,And let no iniquity have dominion over me.

  28. Romans 12:2:And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

  29. 1 Corinthians 2:9-16:But as it is written:“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of manThe things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

  30. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

  31. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

  32. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

  33. . But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

  34. 4. The Holy Spirit leads us in God’s will

  35. Proverbs 16:9:A man’s heart plans his way,But the Lord directs his steps.

  36. Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself also in the Lord,And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

  37. Psalm 119:133:Direct my steps by Your word,And let no iniquity have dominion over me.

  38. Psalm 143:10:Teach me to do Your will,For You are my God;Your Spirit is good.Lead me in the land of uprightness.

  39. John 14:16:And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—

  40. 1 John 2:20-21:But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

  41. 1 John 2:27:But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

  42. 5. A true believer walks in God’s Will

  43. 1 John 2:17:And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

  44. Matthew 7:21:“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

  45. I Peter 4:2: that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

  46. 6. Faith and obedience cause us to persevere in God’s Will

  47. Philippians 2:12-13:Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

  48. Galatians 2:20:I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
