  2. In the beginning…… 2003 Legislative activity – Reporting DOT Positives to DOL Few transit DAPMs began discussions and provided feedback New bills introduced – signed into law 2005 DOL reporting requirements w/ transit exception
  3. What we realized…… Need for a DAPM state-wide group All transit systems would benefit from group Need to interact with WSTA, WSTIP & WSTTC
  4. Existing Associations Washington State Transit Association (WSTA) – HR Roundtable – meets 3x year Washington State Transit Insurance Pool (WSTIP) – provides training Washington State Transportation Training Coalition (WSTTC) – possible RTAP funds
  5. Team building …… Reached out to transit systems & state associations Began growing our network Sharing with each other – needs & wants Everyone has valuable input!
