  2. Subjects • The subject will always be a noun or a pronoun. • Noun = person, place, thing, or idea • Pronoun = stands for a noun – I, you, he, she, it, we, they • “Who” or “what” the sentence is about • People applauded. • Gloria wrote the answers on the board.
