  1. My Challenge -Day 20 Network Marketing Secrets: The Real Cost Of Coaching And Mentorship

  2. Today what I want to talk about is related to coaching and mentorship. Over the past weekend I had a chance to sit down with one of my personal mentors, Jerry Chen. We had a chance to talk and really just mastermind. We discussed some of the challenges and opportunities that we’re going to have in the coming weeks and months. It really got me thinking about how much I value coaching and mentorships.

  3. For the past couple of years that I’ve been doing network marketing, I’ve spent quite a bit of my time just trying to understand how to do things. I had to overcome that learning curve and develop myself. Sometimes you just need something-some information that maybe you haven’t quite comprehended yet or heard in an exact way. You’re looking for something to make it easier for you to understand or come to a conclusion that will produce a breakthrough.

  4. One of the first types of coaching mentorship I had was when I was in college. I was 20 years old and was getting involved in network marketing. I didn’t have any idea of what business meant or personal branding. One of the first was with a gentleman who wasn’t actually the best coach, but ultimately gave me some good fundamentals. He taught me about communicating with people, how to invite people and ultimately how to enroll them in business.

  5. I learned some great things that brought me to understand that if you don’t have a well-mixed understanding of both online and offline marketing, you’re not really going to be able to understand or appreciate everything that you have in the 21st century. I had a chance to work with one particular coach who I spent well over $10,000 to work with. I thought I was going to be working with this person, but what happened was he had about 5-10 coaches that he would assign to people who would basically do coaching for him. So it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, but in essence I paid $10,000 for that course and still really learnt from it.

  6. While that coaching was great, it didn’t really give me the breakthrough that I needed to take my business to the next level. I reached out to other coaches. Every time that I went from coach to coach, I always grew and evolved. That’s ultimately why I wanted to get coaching from people who had the goods, experience, and knowledge.

  7. This brought me to a course that was well over $20,000. In this case he knew social media marketing and I saw it as a great platform and resource. A lot of companies were looking at this trend; a new kind of territory. It was a new frontier to tap into an audience. I was debating on whether or not I should take this course. I had to look at the fact that it was really expensive. Can I really afford this? Do I have the money to pay for it?

  8. With network marketing, typically the investment is usually a couple of hundreds of dollars, perhaps a thousand or so. So we tend not to take it as serious as we should because the barrier of entry is so low. We really don’t care if we waste $500. How many times have you wasted $500 on a computer, TV, sporting event or vacation that didn’t really mean anything to you?

  9. I was put in a situation when I had a decision to make. $20 000 was a lot of money for me at that time. It took me 9-10 months to pay it off. But the thing is, when you’re at that point, you need to figure out if it’s something you want to do. Is it something that will help you develop? Will it make you a person that can be more influential?

  10. I said to myself, “Kevin, whatever it takes, you need to find a solution. I’m going to be able to pay this off and learn, develop and grow myself so that I can get these skills and knowledge. I’ll keep myself accountable.” That’s one of the things about these coaching courses. Every time you spend money you can’t just take the information and leave it there. The cost keeps me motivated. If I invested that much money, I expect to get a return of investment through the information I get.

  11. Within 6 months great things started to happen. I started to get more leads and business. I had more consulting offers and things just started to explode in my business. If it wasn’t for that coaching, none of this would have happened. Hopefully the information I shared with you today has been valuable. When you start to think about training courses, you want to think about how it’s going to impact your life. Is it going to help you grow? Is this the person you want to work with?

  12. Today I have a challenge for you. I’m looking to work with 5-10 people in the next 30 days. I’d like to ensure you have a shorter learning curve so that you have more results. If you’re interested, make sure you click on that link and enter your information. I’ll get the notification that you’re interested. Send me an e-mail and we’ll connect. If it’s a good fit, we’ll work together and see how we can put together a game plan to help you ultimately get more business. You’ll find out what it is you want to accomplish long term and be able to live the life that you want.

  13. I’ll see you again tomorrow, on day 21.
