1.4 Trig Values of any Angle. (We have already talked about this). Sort of : It turns out that all of the trig values we have been talking about can also be calculated on any circle not just a unit circle (r = 1). So the values can be found using any circle regardless of its radius. .

  1. 1.4 Trig Values of any Angle (We have already talked about this)

  2. Sort of : It turns out that all of the trig values we have been talking about can also be calculated on any circle not just a unit circle (r = 1). So the values can be found using any circle regardless of its radius.

  3. What happens if we are on a circle with radius r. We get: The values really don’t change cosθ is now x/r instead of x/1. What is really nice is that none of the values actually change.

  4. All we have to be able to do is find the reference angle (the angle formed by any angle and the x-axis) and then use the trig values of that reference angle. THEY WILL BE THE SAME VALUE !!!! We just have to be sure to include the right sign. All students take calculus.

  5. You should now be able to find any angle along a circle based on the reference angle. You should now be able to create a chart quickly.
