  2. What task does the robot perform?What human functions or task does this robots simulate? • Dogs and Robots are teamed up to go out on search of survivors when theirs earthquakes or something. The snakes also help the army go to the enemies side without endangering someone. The snake robots can climb like other snakes and are flexible to. Snake robots fit in tight places were humans and dogs don't.

  3. Where is the robot used? what is it work enveloped (how many degrees of freedom or flexible joint does it have? • Snake Robots are used in battle fields and rescue missions.   4. Is the robotic end effector multi-funtional? If so, what other tasks can it perform? • No, The robot can only go thru tight places, capture a video/picture or help people in danger.

  5. How is the robot taught to perform its tasks? • It was not taught how to perform its tasks. It was programmed with all the information they needed. It was programmed to move like a real animal. In this case the animal was a snake.

  6. What sensor does the robots have and how does the robot use these sensors? • The snake robot has senors indicating if the snake is in contact with anything, where it's touching and how hard the contact is.

  7. Name some advantages and disadvantages of using a robot to complete this task? • It has many degrees of freedom to move than the average robot. It can get in to places others cant. Its programmed animal behavior can malfunctional at times.

  8. What type of jobs/careers can this robot create to provide employment for people? • We could not find any jobs that these robots provide. They actually eliminate some jobs.

  9. Predict and explain how this robot may be altered to perform more or different tasks in the future? • The creators are thinking about altering it to make it a toy for older children. They also thought about adding more links to the snakebot to make it more easier to control.
