This report presents an analysis of responses from 423 HR professionals regarding the collection and use of HR benchmarks and metrics. Conducted between February 7-14, 2008, the survey received a response rate of 15% from 2,945 emails sent, providing valuable insights into organizations' strategies for measuring key performance indicators like cost per hire and turnover. Key findings include the levels of agreement on the importance of using HR metrics in setting performance objectives and the challenges faced by organizations in collecting these benchmarks.

Benchmarking Metrics • Sample comprised of 423 randomly selected HR professionals. • Analyzing 423 responses of 2,945 emails sent, 2,756 emails were received (response rate = 15%). • Survey fielded February 7 – February 14, 2008; presentation generated on February 28, 2008. • Margin of error is +/- 5%.
