Our Priorities Our priorities would be the: • Promotion of Labour Education; • Conscientisation of trade union leadership; • Building trade union capacity at all levels; • Creating of awareness around trade union rights; • Promotion of women and youth participation in all trade union activities.

  3. Activities • Development of policies; • Development of work programmes and Plan; • Offering of Training workshops for labour educators; leadership and membership; • Material development based on priority areas; • Establishment of networks at national, regional and international levels (all levels); • Advocacy and campaigns on critical priority issues.

  4. Expected Outcomes • Availability of an Organisational Policy; • Availability of a policy on Labour Education; • Institutionalised Programme and Work-plan; • Conscientised leadership; • Well trained educators, according to the timeframe and available resources; • Training manuals as per outlined activities, and • Leaflets; posters and pamphlets; • CD’s; DVD’s and cassettes; • Campaign banners; • Drama and Music; • Networking systems established namely: websites; meetings; conferences and symposiums.

  5. Timeframes for Funding • Short term: - 5 years; • Medium term: - 10 years; • Long Term: - 10 years and beyond to ensure the sustainability of the programme

  6. Evaluation • Annually, by a team of educators and funding partners who are conversant with the education programme, in order to assess its impact.
