  2. Metro Denver Incentives • Colorado is at the bottom of available research incentives compared to the rest of the country. • State of Colorado has a total of approximately $9,000,000/yr. for job training, relocation incentives. • Most incentives are tax rebates

  3. What Site Selectors Say • When we get down to the final three, incentives do matter • Incentives don’t make a bad deal good • Labor and making a smart business decision is more important to the bottom line. • We’ll be apart of the community longer than an incentive.

  4. What Companies Say • Important to have a great website • Data intensive • Easily searchable • Downloads available • Research available that compares communities that had standardized info • Consistent data for all communities

  5. Tax Incentives • EZ Zones, Personal Property Tax rebates • Sales and Use Tax Rebates at the local level • But Tech companies and Bioscience companies can’t use most tax credits

  6. We had to get creative • Developed an Economic Impact Model Considers Inputs and Outputs • Performance Incentive Agreements • Known amount that each company can receive… rewarding higher paying jobs

  7. Investment as an incentive • Investment in Infrastructure • FasTracks - $4.7 billion light rail build out • T-REX - $1.67 billion multimodal project • DIA – New International Airport\ • Major League Baseball, Hockey and new Football Stadium
