  4. IMPLEMENTATION • All MS lagging behind • Responisbility with national administrations • Transitional period should be used to adapt

  5. Recent initiatives • New discard policy • Ecosystem approach • Integrated Maritime policy

  6. International dimension Close cooperation and coordination: > bilaterally, with all partners > promote together a coherent approach in international fora (GFCM, ICCAT, FAO, Barcelona convention)
