What is The Beachcomber? • The Beachcomber is the student newspaper of Miami Beach Senior High School. • The 2,000 students at this school provide numerous business opportunities for you and your business. • We publish 4-6 full-color copy issues per year, with 5,000 copies per issue. • In our 82 years publishing, we have gained experience and the right to call ourselves professionals. • We have an opinion, sports, features, and news section in our newspaper.

  3. Mission Statement of The Beachcomber • The Beachcomber is the student-run newspaper of Miami Beach Senior High School that is dedicated to educating, entertaining, and supporting the Miami Beach community.

  4. Why should you advertise with The Beachcomber? Out of a representative group of 68 students, 56 spend their free time listening to music - That’s 83 percent of the poll takers! If these statistics are applied to all of the students at Miami Beach Senior High School, then that would mean that 1647 students listen to music in their free time. And if you choose to buy an add in our paper, 1647 students who like music will be reading your add, contemplating if they could make it to your store and back home in time to finish their homework.

  5. Why us? • Because we are a high school, students generally stay in one place for 4 years. This means 4 years of regular customers living in your area. • People generally shop with more than one person. If your ad reaches only one of the people in this group of students, you have a higher chance of gaining customers. • Many students who live on Miami Beach plan to stay in the Miami Beach area. This grants your business potential customers for life. • “I pass The Beachcomber to my friends at other schools. (continued) • According to a poll, 100% percent of the students at Miami Beach Senior High are 14 to 18, which is your main customer demographic. • At Miami Beach Senior High, students interact with one another. This is a direct benefit for your business. If one student knows of your store, it is likely that at more students will know of your business in a number of hours. • A music store has never advertised with The Beachcomber before. If you advertise with us, you will have the upper hand to these business, such as FYE Music.

These statistics show that through advertising with us, customers who have never heard of your store would be willing to visit.
