Project Triples Project

The ESIP Triples Project focuses on experimenting with and demonstrating linked data to enhance the Semantic Web's impact. Our objectives include providing a foundational project for hands-on tutorials, creating a simple ontology of projects, people, datasets, and technologies, and populating it with relevant information. We aim to develop a comprehensive database of ongoing initiatives, aiding collaboration, and advancing research efficiency. Future steps consist of workshops and implementing linked data in the ESIP testbed, focusing on basic queries and federating various datasets.

  2. Objectives • Experiment with and demonstrate linked data • Provide fodder for ESIP semantic web testbed • Provide a simple, real project for hands-on ESIP tutorials • Demonstrate basic semantic web to HQ • Develop a “database” of who’s doing what with what (and how)

  3. Basic Concept • Develop a simple ontology of Projects, People, Datasets and Technology • Populate with ACCESS, MEaSUREs and similar project instance info • Store triples in ESIP Testbed triple store
