  3. The mission of A-Vaneb Volleyball Academy, is to offer top-notch training to quality athletes in a fun, yet competitive environment. AVA strives to teach players the value of teamwork, responsibility, leadership, and self-discipline so that every athlete has the opportunity to be the best they can be. Mission Statement

To develop interest and encourage participation To provide each athlete a high level of technical training To maintain a positive teamwork environment to further their social, mental and athletic development To be a first class program displaying good sportsmanship To teach athletes life skills through a positive experience To expose athletes to collegiate volleyball programs through recruiting efforts (tournaments) Goals

  5. Designed for the beginner player or those who are active in other sports 1 Practice per week ( 2hours) 1 Coach per team 1 scrimmage per month Practices TBA 1 Shirt League Teams

Designed for beginner to intermediate players who are looking to improve skills • 2 practices per week (4 hours practice/week) • Tuesday, Thursday (may vary) • 1 coach per team (may vary) • AAU tournament schedule only • 1&2 day tournaments • Orlando, West Palm, and Cape Coast • 2 jerseys, spandex Regional Teams

Designed for serious players who are interested in playing a high level of competition and seeking future college scholarships • Tryouts will determine if a regional team is appropriate. • Regional teams will NOT be availableat every age level • These teams will be made from the tryouts if numbers support • 2 practices per week (4 hours practice/ week) • Monday/ Wednesday (may vary) • 1 coach per team (may vary) • Play in USAV & some AAU tournament • Travel “in state”, sometimes overnight (optional) • 2 day tournaments • (one 3-day tournament for some regional/elite teams) • Specialty practices available • 2 jerseys, 1 spandex, warm-up, bag (included in tuition) Elite Teams

Tryouts for ALL teams (Regional, Travel & League) • Registration begins ½ hour before tryouts begin • $30 Cash or Check for Tryout Fee • Cash or Check only • Checks made payable to: A-Vaneb Volleyball Academy • Team Placement based on attitude, volleyball skills and athletic ability of each individual athlete • Goal: 9 players per team • Will take up to 10 players per team • Tuition will be adjusted per team to reflect different number of players • Results posted at www.avanebvolleyballacademy.weebly.com Tryouts and Team Placement

  9. $30 Cash or Check • AAU Registration Card- 2012 • You must register with AAU BEFORE tryouts this year! • A-Vaneb AAU Club number XTC6E3 (www.aausports.org) • AAU Medical- on our website at www.avanebvolleyballacademy.weebly.com • Must be notarized • Notary available on day of tryouts only • A-Vaneb “Waiver and Liability” Form • YOU MUST HAVE AAU CARD AND MEDICAL FORM TO TRYOUT!!! Things Needed At Tryouts

Beginning of year and end of year player evaluation • Director will attend practices • Monthly training topics set forth by Director and Coaches • USAV Registered • Skill Development • Average age progression • Introduced, Practiced, Mastered, and Advance Technique Coach Responsibilities Volleyball LOVE!!! Court Movement Serving Passing Setting Hitting Blocking Positions Defense Offense

  11. 1 Day Tournaments (AAU) • All day, 9am-6pm • Pool play and Playoffs • Travel & League Teams • 2 Day Tournaments (AAU, USAV) • Day 1- Pool play (am or pm wave) • Day 2- Single elimination • Travel, Regional Teams • 3 Day Tournaments (USAV) • Day 1&2- Pool play (am or pm wave) • Day 3- Single elimination • Regional (15-18) Teams • Tournament Schedule: website and handout Tournaments

Tuition Payments • Tuition- Full or 3 monthly installments for all teams • Cost per Team • 10 players team • Multi- Discount for families with two or more children • Largest tuition paid in full • 10% discount on remaining tuitions • Payments are due 1st of each month • 1st payment due at team meeting (TBA) • Payments accepted by check or cash • Payments submitted in the form of check or money order should be mailed and made payable to: A-Vaneb Volleyball Academy P.O.   15. TRYOUTS begin: • November 20th • Team notification posted on website • PRACTICES START: December 5,2011 • 1st payments due • All teams ages 12-18 December 1, 2011 • Referee Clinic: TBA in December Things to remember!
