  6. The transition from Abnormal 53’ container to Normal 53’ container Top four corner castings were equipped with lifting adapter (WTP), abnormal 53’ containers become normal.

  7. The transition from Abnormal 53’ container to Normal 53’ container Crane can lift the abnormal 53’ containers directly after four WTP were mounted.

Stowage Section Our APC frames were designed to pave on the deck cover directly and 6 tiers of containers can be loaded on the frames, including two tiers of 40’ laden containers and two tiers of 53’ laden containers and two tiers of empty 53’ containers. The laden 53’ containers weight 24Ton with third party cargos.

  12. Due to the usage of APC frames on the deck cover the original lashing bars can not make regular cross as before to lock 53’ containers from the 3rd tier. In this issue Cosco and Maersk have different reactions, but they all accepted the loading method and lashing status finally.Maersk find ABS class as surveyor at the vessel side after the loading and ABS approved the loading method .Cosco has rich experience in the delivery of 53’ containers, they did not use any surveyor but accept themselves.

  14. Deck cover modification for 53’ containers The best and most direct loading method for 53’ containers is to modify the deck cover of the vessels directly. Adding some news slots on the deck according to the dimension of 53’ containersto make it be suitable for the 53’ containers. APL had began this kind of modification and will finish it by the end of this year.
