  2. Knowing each other… • Introducing the LIFE GLAN Team • Self introduction of the participants: • Name • Country • Affiliation (Government, Civil Society, Private Sector, Local Authorities, International Organizations)

  3. The overall GOAL • To learn and share models of intervention to support poor urban (slums) dwellers through a partnership process between the different actors and using the existing available resources

  4. Objectives Local Initiative Facility for Urban Environment (LIFE Programme) • to learn about the LIFE GLAN experience in establishing dialogue for partnerships • to learn about the challenges of establishing the dialogue among the different stakeholders • to discuss how to localize the implementation of MDGs through local participatory governance process

  5. Specific Objectives • The crucial role of the different actors when they are involved as real partners • The effect of the synergies on the overall achievement of the objectives • How to do a real impact on the lives of the poor by bringing them to the decision making process

  6. The Course Structure • Presenting the LIFE experiences and techniques through presentations (1 hour) • Splitting the participants into sub-groups (1 hour) • Presenting WGs results THEN an open discussion and dialogue on what we have learned from the process.
