Indifference! • “Unconcerned, incurious, aloof, detached or disinterested.” (Web.) • Many today Do Not Want To Get Involved • Never Participate in leading worship • Never Give Extra Effort to attend to temporal work around the building • Never attend Gospel Meetings here or elsewhere • Never attend classes designed for them

  3. They Just Don’t Want To Get Involved! Just How Involved are YOU?

  4. Necessity of Getting Involved • Why Some Don’t Get Involved- • Fear - Afraid they might make some mistakes • One thing sure – if you never do anything, you have already made ONE mistake! And it will keep you out of Heaven! • Revelation 21:8

  5. Necessity of Getting Involved • Why Some Don’t Get Involved- • Lack of Concern- • Don’t Want to be bothered! • Just don’t care! • Lack of Love • Selfishness – • Doesn’t fit in their plans! • Love selves more than the Lord

  6. Necessity of Getting Involved • Why Some Don’t Get Involved- • Laziness- • Let Someone Else Do It! • Proverbs 6:6 • Hebrews 6:11,12 • NO Lazy people will be found entering into Heaven!

  7. Necessity of Getting Involved • Why Some Don’t Get Involved- • Because of Sin- • Really not as devoted to Him as they should be. • Because of Ignorance- • Don’t know their duty • Must be Taught!

  8. Why Must We Get Involved? Why can’t we just warm a pew a few times a week? • It is Commanded by God- • Matthew 28:18-20 • James 2:17,24,26 • Luke 6:46 • Matthew 7:21-23

  9. Why Must We Get Involved? • Love Compels us to do it! - • 1 John 3:17 • Matthew 25:31-46 • NOT Teaching about Congregational Action • If we Love, we cannot keep from being involved!

  10. Why Must We Get Involved? • Love Compels us to do it! - • Concern for Everyone- • Galatians 6:10 • James 1:27 • God taught us by example- • John 3:16 • Philippians 2:5-8

  11. When Do I Need To Be Involved? • NOT just on Certain Occasions! • Everywhere! • On the job, classroom, among friends, neighbors, Everywhere! • Being a Christian is a Total Life! • Are YOU involved for the LORD in Every Circumstance of your Daily Life?

  12. How Must We Be Involved? • Mark 16:15 -GO – no hesitation • Matthew 28:19 – Teach • 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – pray without ceasing • Romans 12:15 – Weep with those who weep • James 1:27 – Help those afflicted • Galatians 6:1,2 – bear burdens

  13. How Must We Be Involved? • 1 Corinthians 16:1,2 – Support the work of the church • Romans 12:1,2 – living sacrifice unto God • What are YOU doing Right Now? • Are YOU content to stand in the shadows, or sit on t he sidelines?

  14. God got involved when He saw that man was hopelessly lost in Sin, & sent His Son to Die! Are We Grateful to Him for this? Is it such a great thing He should ask us to “get involved” in His work for the short time we are on this earth?
