Interactive Floors for Social Interaction Study

This study by Liz Diestler, Jack Tang, and Rhys Saraceni explores how interactive floors at bus stops can foster social interactions. The hypothesis that digital devices can enhance social interaction and users would share content willingly was tested. The observations and questionnaire results indicated that users believe interactive floors can create positive social interactions. The study concludes that users are open to sharing, supporting the original hypotheses, and reaffirming the understanding that interactive floors at bus stops can combat isolation.
