  2. Today I’m going to tell you about Ludwig van Beethoven – the greatest composer of the end of the 19th century.

  3. Ludwig van Beethoven was born in the 1770 in Bonn( Germany).Nobody knows the exact date of his birth.His father - Johann van Beethoven was a singer in a local church and his mother - Maria Magdalena was a daughter of a chef.

  4. Father taught Beethoven how to play on the violin and clavecin. He wanted to made a «second Mozart» from his son but soon gave up.

  5. In 1780 a famous composer and organistChristian Gotlob Neefe came to Bonn. He became a real teacher of Ludwig. He understood that the boy was very talented.

  6. At the age of 12 Beethoven became a Neefe’s helper

  7. After grandfather’s dead Ludwig’s family became poor, so the boy had to leave school early.

  8. So Ludwig started to write music and in 1787 went to Vienna.

  9. Beethoven becomea famous pianist in Vienna. One day Mozart came to his concert and wasshocked by the way young Beethoven played

  10. During all his life Beethoven had an ear illness and every year it went worse until he became deaf.

  11. But even in this hard life period Ludwig wrote different amazing symphonies like «Symphony №9»

  12. Ludwig van Beethoven died on the 26th of March in 1827 at the age of 57.During his short life he wrote nine symphonies, five piano and violin concerts, 17 string quartets, an opera, and 32 piano sonatas.
