Florida's Race to the Top (RTTT) initiative focuses on enhancing the state's education system through various reforms. Key areas include moving to digital instructional materials, increasing high school graduation requirements, and implementing online assessments. The RTTT budget supports programs aimed at improving teacher evaluation and support, as well as developing STEM programs for gifted students. With 65 local education agencies participating, Florida aims to double high school graduation rates and reduce achievement gaps by 2015, fostering an equitable education environment for all students.
