Vehicles • Please work through each slide carefully to gain the necessary knowledge that is required on vehicles
Which vehicles do we cover? • We only cover SA registered vehicles such as: • Passenger Vehicles • Commercial Vehicles • Vehicles with Tool of Trade attached • Motorcycles • Caravans • Trailers
Excluded vehicles • We do not cover vehicles such as: • Emergency services-, traffic control and armed response vehicles • Law enforcement vehicles • Taxis, busses and any vehicle carrying fare-paying passengers
Driver options • 1. Single Regular Driver – person who drives the vehicle most often on a regular basis in any monthly period – Private or Business Use • 2. Multiple Regular Drivers – up to 3 drivers who all use the vehicle on a regular basis in any monthly period – Business Use Only • 3. Pool Vehicle – no specific drivers, as the vehicle is used randomly by more than 3 drivers in any monthly period – Business Use only
Clients responsibility • Driver responsibilities (all drivers to adhere to terms and conditions) • Important changes (inform us of change of driver, address or use) • Prevent loss or damage

Passenger liability • There is NO passenger liability for Commercial vehicles • Passenger liability is only available on passenger vehicles if: • The passenger has no affiliation to the business • The passenger is sitting in a seat designed by the manufacturer to carry passengers
Tools of trade • Damage caused when the vehicle is moving = VEHICLE LIABILITY • Damage caused by the tool of trade = PUBLIC LIABILITY
