  2. The Present Probes • Cassini- the present spacecraft is in orbit around Saturn today. • Objectives- Determine the cloud composition of Saturn and send Huygens spacecraft to Titan. Send back data to Earth on the layout of Saturns rings.

  3. Huygen & Titan • Huygen- a small side spacecraft that shot off of Cassini to explore Titan • Results- huygen has discovered sand dunes similar to earth in appearance with potential liquid oceans due to ammonia in the atmosphere.

  4. Major Discoveries • The Hexagonal cloud- • The smog of Titan-

  5. Past Probes • Voyagers 1 & 2- Mainly Voyager 1, as it was successful in getting the images NASA wanted they simply let Voyager 2 stay by Saturn long enough to send it to Uranus and Neptune. Voyager 1 also discovered the atmosphere of Titan. • Pioneer 11- This craft was the first vessel sent to Saturn and discovered the F ring, along with moons from that ring. It also found out that Saturn emits 2.5 times the heat as it takes in from the sun.
