First Reading: Section J: Students • JICK- Student Violence/ Harassment/ Intimidation/ Bullying • New policy drafted in response to legislation • JII-Student Concerns, Complaints and Grievances • Removed the bullying and harassment language from the previous version of the policy due to the creation of policy JICK
First Reading: Section J: Students • JJE- Student Fundraising Activities • Revised to require the Governing Board to approve student fundraising activities • JJIB- Interscholastic Sports • The District required to develop a process to communicate with parents, coaches and students the dangers of concussions and head injuries and the risk of continuing to participate after a concussion
First Reading: K: Community Relations • KF- Community Use of School Facilities • Requires lessees of District property to acknowledge in the lease that they will not possess or use marijuana on school property
First Reading: Section G: Personnel • Policy PUSD 00002: Equity in Employment • Developed by Governing Board Member • Creates clarity that all employees are treated equally, regardless of membership in an association
Section TBD: Social Media • PUSD 00003: Social Media Policy • Developed by Administration to address the changing world of electronic communications and its impact on employment • Sets clear expectations for the use of social media during and after school for employees and students
