  10. The FINUDA strategy • imult: multiplicity = 2 on ITOF • back: exact back-to-back topology on ITOF • emult: multiplicity = 2 ÷ 4 on ETOF • tof: Dt between ITOF and ETOF = 4.5 ÷ 6.5 ns • energy: small dE/dx inside ITOF

  11. Cross section z = cosJ (J » 0°) s = 1.0404 GeV2 (45° <J < 135°)

  12. Event rate @ £ =5 1031 cm-2s-1 • 45° < J < 135° • sBhabha = 810 nb • etrigger ~ 0.74% ~ 30 Hz ~ 10 Hz • erec ~ 0.33% FINUDA needs 45’ to give £ value @ 1%
