Discover the IFAPME For more than 100 years • 1907 : 1st apprenticeship secretary • 1929 : 1st ministerial decree on the apprentice’s status. • 1958 : The law organizes the access to the craft and commercial professions. • During the 50s and the 60s, the network evolve... • 1976 : 2 Institutes are created to manage the training of middle classes : a french speaking and a dutch speaking one. • 1992 : The IFPME becomes an organism of public interest. • 1er september 2003 : The IFPME splits and becomes exclusively the IFAPME.

Discover the IFAPME Its main missions • Organize the dual training in Walloon Region. • Coordonate all the trainings : - apprenticeship; - business management training; - continuous training; - business creation trainings. • Conceive and organize the training programs. • Express opinions and recommendations towards the walloon Government. These missions are extended to their international aspects.

  5. Discover the IFAPME The pedagogy of dual training The trainings are based on the pedagogy of the dual training. It is a constant interaction betweenthe training center, the Institute and the company.

  6. Discover the IFAPME For whom ? For teenagers and for adults Who wants to learn craft, commercial or service profession And become Self-employed or qualified co-workers of SMEs

  7. The trainings offer • Wallonia Tour Guide- regional tour guide: • Makes you discover public historic buildings and sites with • useful and interesting comments. • Implies a good general culture and intellectual curiosity • Subjects: 512 hours of courses over a period of 2 years

The trainings offer • Wallonia Tour Guide- regional tour guide: • Basic module( history, institutions, aristic culture, touristic geograhy, organization and touristic regulation) • City culture in Wallonia, environment, economic, social, demographic aspects, traditions, folklore, local cooking, urban culture: Brussels & Wallonia, being a tour guide, communication, practical application of guiding

  9. Wallonia Tour Guide • Other specific trainings: • Nature guide : 372 hours over one year • Hiking guide : 240 hours over two years with the collaboration of the CFAR http://www.cfar.be

  11. A training path The training centres • The IFAPME represents a network of 8 training centres dispatched on 14 areas in Walloon Region. There are Non-profit making organisations, approved by the Walloon Government. • Their missions are : - assure the organisation of the courses, evaluations and exams - assure the pedagogical guidance of apprentices
