  1. Adobe Connect Sharing Content in the Share Pod

Content you can share • Share My Screen - Selected items on your computer screen, including one or more open windows, one or more open applications, or the entire desktop. • Share Document - A document, such as a presentation, PDF file, FLV file, a JPEG, SWF, FLV, JPEG, and MP3 (Word Docs need to be converted to PDF or alternatively use Share My Screen option). • Share Whiteboard - A whiteboard with a variety of writing and drawing tools. You can share a stand-alone whiteboard, or a whiteboard overlay that appears on top of other shared content.

  3. Share My Screen instructions • Click the pop-up menu in the centre of the Share pod, and select Share My Screen from the dropdown list. • Note:If the Share Pod is empty, you are a participant and do not have permission to share. • Choose the Screen sharing options that best suits your need (Desktop, Applications, Windows). If you are only sharing one file such as a PowerPoint file make sure you have the file open on your computer then choose Applications as your option and select PowerPoint from the list of applications to share. • Click the Share button at the bottom of the Start Screen Sharing popup window to begin sharing. • To finished sharing your desktop click on the Adobe Connect icon in the system tray (bottom right of your PC screen) and select Stop Screen Sharing from the list of options.

  4. Share Document instructions • In an empty Share pod, click the pop-up menu in the centre, and select Share Document. As a host or presenter, you can share the following file types from your computer: PPT, PPTX, Adobe PDF, SWF, FLV, JPEG, and MP3. • Click on Browse My Computer… icon from the bottom left of the Select Document to Share popup window. Find and select the document that you want to share from your computer, and click Open. • The selected document uploads and appears in the Share pod. The document name appears in the title bar of the pod and other controls will also be available. • Click on Stop Sharing when finished presenting.

  5. Share Whiteboard instructions • In an empty Share pod, click the pop-up menu in the centre, and select Share Whiteboard. • A whiteboard will be available in the classroom. Only Presenters and Hosts can add content to a whiteboard. The drawing tools allow text, free hand drawing and shapes to be added to the whiteboard. • To end the whiteboard presentation click on Stop Sharing button at the top of the share pod to finish sharing the whiteboard.
