  1. Long ago, in the country of Persia (NOW BABYLON) there lived a very selfish, vain king. King Achashveyrosh and his wife, Queen Vashti.King Achashveyrosh declared that his pretty, slim wife would appear before him at a grand, party where all the people would be just to show how beautiful she was b ut when she refused the king was extremely furious. One of the king’s advisors Haman, a rather nasty man teased the king that anyone’s wife would think they didn't have to listen to their husbands. King Achashveyrosh knew that Haman was right so Achashveyrosh decided that Vashti , would be sent to her death. The Saver Of The Jews The Story Of Esther

  2. Esther was pretty, gracious and kind and now Esther was a Jew. Esther's uncle Modechai was the leader of the Jews and advised and encouraged Esther to hide her faith from the king and his advisors. Now Haman had become very powerful man- Prime Minister. He said it would be appropriate that all Jews should worship and bow down to him every time he passed by. But Modechai refused. Haman had become very angry by his action and had a cruel plan to annihilate the Jews on the 13th day of the month in the upcoming year. On that day all the Jews would be murdered and the Jews religion would end. Modechai heard the evil plotting of the man and passed a message to Esther to say to the king and tell him about the advisor’s plan. Esther was afraid no one was allowed to see the king uninvited but Esther knew she had to do something about this matter on behalf of the Jews. So Esther fasted and prayed for 3 days she mustered up her courage and went to see her husband. Although he was angry with her, King Achashveyrosh spared her life and offered “ half my kingdom for your wishes,” all she asked was that the King and Haman , the advisor join her for dinner that night specially made and prepared for them. Drinking wine, King Achashveyrosh asked Esther again “What is your request, my darling. Even up to half the kingdom your wish will be granted.” Politely Esther replied “My petition and my request is this: if the king regards me with favour and if it pleases the king to grant my full petition and fulfil my request, let the king and Haman please join to the banquet I have prepared for them. Then I will answer the King’s question.” Obliviously, both the king and Haman agreed to attend the 2nd dinner with the lovely, young Queen.

  3. Haman was very pleased that he’d been asked to dine with the royal couple.
