  8. A Commission-accredited organization can choose either of two roads to maintain its accredited status PEAQ AQIP

  9. Sequence for AQIP process • attend Strategy Forum and commit to Action Projects, annually updated • prepare public Systems Portfolio • receive actionable feedback report from Portfolio Appraisal team • request reports or site visits on specific improvement issues (if desired)

  10. Are you ready? • Is your institution willing to make the investment of effort necessary to focus on continuous quality improvement? • Is your institution's agenda free from the distractions that would prevent it from paying attention to quality improvement? • Does your institution understand how continuous improvement differs from “business as usual”? • Have you identified some prospective targets for Action Projects?

Applying to AQIP • Application reviews every two months • Application forms, instructions, and sample available on-line • 12 direct questions - concise application does not require extensive documentation • Prompt decisions with clear, actionable reasons if deferred • Assistance available from AQIP staff at all times

  12. AQIP isn’t just a relationship with the Commission office. It’s a collaboration with vibrant organizations working together to improve their performance to meet the needs of those they serve.
