  2. Boating Safety Course • Designed for Baderman Island employees • Prerequisite is Water Safety Course • Class size limited to 12 • Face-to-face • Three hours in length Instructional Module Snapshot - Boating Safety

  3. Goals • For the employee to: • understand the importance of boating safety for Baderman Island’s guests; and, • have the knowledge to instruct the guests in proper safety guidelines Instructional Module Snapshot - Boating Safety

  4. Performance-based Objectives • Define why alcohol and safe boating do not mix • Demonstrate the use of a Float Plan Instructional Module Snapshot - Boating Safety

  5. Engagement Strategy • The course makes use of videos, mini-lectures, handouts, activities, and discussions to hold the employee’s interest. • By varying the topic presentation, the employee’s focus stays on the course content. • And the course focus stays on the safety of Baderman Island’s guests!
