  1. Hi, I wished to show you a little bit about why we created our summer checking out program. For me, it was because of my trainees. In some cases this was due to the fact that the students had learning difficulties like dyslexia and ADHD. Other times, this was just since the teachers did not teach all of the specific summer reading program near Milwaukee - WI state skills required to check out. So, I went to the research study and what I learned from my mentors in my early years of mentor. I found that brief activities often produce better results than long labored work. I found that teaching in a methodical and structured way to target each area of reading and spelling worked.

I found that using graphic organizers helps trainees find the essence and details, series events, and arrange their ideas to improve their understanding. Students might finally understand and envision what they read. I found that a lot of words in English follow 8 particular spelling patterns and when you discover the patterns, spelling becomes much easier and spelling lastly makes sense. I discovered that brain-body activities improve neuroplasticity and equate to making finding out much easier in all locations. I found that executive function abilities were often not taught in school. It did not matter if they had discovering obstacles or if they were just merely wanting to advance much faster. I put together a program of these findings into short 5-20 minute everyday activities that I might do with my trainees. It wasn't long before my trainees and moms and dads began seeing incredible results. Trainees that lagged by 1-2 years often got up to grade level in 2-4 months. Educators began to ask what I was making with these kids. Moms and dads wanted to know what the magic sauce was. I understood I had to make my program available to more students no matter where they live. I needed to make the program in such a way that moms and dads can do it with their kids on their schedule in the house.
