  4. Exploitation • Many African countries are rich in resources • Gold, diamonds, oil, minerals, agricultural produce... and people. • But, they are also some of the poorest in the world. The average annual income of people in Kenya is just US $770, in Rwanda US $410 and in Burundi $140 (Compared to US $27940 in NZ)
