  2. Location • Valea Prahovei is located in the southern part of Romania. • Valea Prahovei is located in northern Muntenia. • Valea Prahovei includes: • Brasov • Predeal • Sinaia • Busteni • Azuga • Comarnic • Campina • Pucioasa

  3. How to get there If you were to start from Bucharest, you can take a train or a car. Car route: • You do Bucharest-Brasov on the DN1 • Then you transfer on to DN 73A Train Route: • You go to the Bucharest station • Take the Bucharest-Predealroute

  4. Physical Features • Valea Prahovei includes of many physical features and that is why no one can remain indifferent to the spell of this most extensively visited region. Since Prahovei is situated on the southern slopes of the Carpathians close to the curvature, you can guess there are lots of mountainous regions and skiing resorts. • 26.2% mountains • 26.1% agriculture • 36.5 % hills • 37.3% plains • 12.5% services • 7.1% constructions •  The main natural resources are: oil, natural gas, coal, salt, massive limestone and marls used in creating lime and cement. 

  5. Climate • The winters are very snowy, and because of this there are many ski, snowboard, sledding, and other snow activity resorts there. There is talk that they will try and bid to host the 2022 winter Olympics. • Winter is when all tourists come because of all of the resorts and competitions. • The 3 different parts of Valea Prahovei have different climates, which are mostly very humid or dry.

  6. Population Most of the population of Valea Prahovei is tourists and visitors during vacations and holidays. There are a lot of touristic attractions like mountains (rock climbing in summer and ski slopes for winter), sphinx, the babele, the salt mine, vineyards and more. The population of Prahovei includes of 762.886 people.

  8. Distinguishing Features There are many distinguishing features, in Valea Prahovei. For example, its center has many architectural artifacts which attract architects from all corners of the world. Another beautiful structure would be the “Babele”, or The Old Ladies. Because of the wind, rain, and other weather conditions, some shapes have been carved in the rock, which resemble the Shape of old ladies. The last feature would be the sphinx, which is also made from the weather conditions, but people that live there say that it resembles Carol the first, even though it is just a formation from the weather.
