  1. Study Abroad Plymouth, UK - Summer A 2010

  2. Marjon -Accommodation-a village designed specifically for students. The cottages are equipped with kitchens, private bedrooms, and shared bathrooms. -Instruction- Provided by Dr. Keith Jones prior to entering the local Plymouth schools. This gave a real insight on how British schools worked.

  3. Exploring Plymouth The England-USA World Cup game at a local pub called the Windmill -Taking public transportation into the city using the bus cards that were provided by Marjon. -Public transportation also used to get to the schools. Group in the Barbican THE WORLD CUP! The Plymouth Fort -Exploring historical Plymouth- A party celebrating the start of the World Cup and saying bye to Dr. Szente

  4. Excursions: The EDEN Project This land was once an exhausted china clay mine -The group in front of the biomes Rainforest Mediterranean Now it holds the two largest conservatories in the world -Biomes- The group in front of a driftwood- sculpture of a horse

  5. Excursions: The EDEN Project The goal of the EDEN project is to educate the population on conservation and sustainability.

  6. Excursions: Cawsands Cawsands and Kingsands are frequent winners of the Best Kept Village Award. Historic fishing village from the 17th century

  7. Excursions: Buckland Abbey A 700 year old abbey that became the home of Sir Francis Drake We were able to explore the estate along with the abbey itself.

  8. Excursions: Buckland Abbey • The inside of Buckland Abbey is setup as a mix between an “interactive” and a traditional museum

  9. Excursions: Morwellham Quay Ancient mining village- inhabited by actors in period clothing We also participated in a rope walk We were taken on a mine cart through an abandoned mine

  11. Excursions: Tintagel -Legendary birthplace of King Arthur- Some structures on this land may be over 1300 years old. Castle remnants View from Cliffs

  12. In the Classroom Oakwood-Just opened -Beechwood- A very new school Mary Dean’s COE School Originally founded in 1734 We all learned so much at the schools we were placed in
