  1. Chapter 11 book 2A Companion Picture • Significance of the title: • The significance is that Stryver is announcing him getting married to Lucie, to Carton. He is making a picture of his life and his future companionship

  2. Plot Summary • Late one night, Carton and Stryver work in Stryver’s chambers. Stryver announces that he intends to marry Lucie, in an arrogant way. Carton drinks a bunch at the news, assuring Stryver that his words have not upset him. Stryver implies that himself find “some respectable woman with a little property,” and marry her, or he will end up poor and sick.
