  2. The beginning • First episode aired in Saturday November 23,1963 in Great Britain. • Viewers grew steadily, going international a following year. • It ran its first run from 1963 until 1989.

  4. Current Information • The program restarted in 2003 until current date. •  As of 1 January 2013, the modern series has been or is currently broadcast weekly in more than 50 countries. • It has inspired fan work from paintings to knitting.

  5. Fans Today • Americans are slowing gaining more interest. • The 50th Anniversary special was watched by over 20 million worldwide.

  6. Today The television series “Doctor Who” is continuing to inspire devotion for hopefully the next50 years.
