  4. 3. 例題 • 2002IIB • 1999-1A-4 • 1998-MC-17 • 2001-MC-14

  5. 1987IIB4 A student uses a flame probe to investigate the variations in potential in the region around a positively charged sphere. The probe, in the form of a small gas flame at the point of a needle, is connected to an electroscope calibrated to measure potentials. (a) Briefly explain why the electroscope reading is a measure of the potential at the point where the probe is situated.

  6. Figure 3 (b) The student measures the potential at points A and B (see Figure 3), which are 1 cm apart. He finds that the potentials at A and B are 450 V and 400 V respectively. Give an estimate of the electric field in the region between A and B. In what direction does it act ?

  7. Due to the positive charges of the square, the probe is under the influence • of E field of the square.Negative charges are induced on the probe and positive • charges appears on the electroscope and It deflects the flame ionizes surrounding • air into positive ions and negative ions.positive ions are attracted to .The probe and • neutralize it .the electroscope is calibrated to measure the probe potential. • E= - dV / d X • =(450-400) / 0.01 • =5000 V / m • The electric field points from A to B.

  8. Information about Electronic Engineering and jupas question and answer. 1.what is EE? It covers networking, wireless communications, multimedia signal processing, microelectronics, microprocessors, display technologies, control and robotics. 2.what will learn in EE? During the first year, students study the fundamental subjects of Mathematics, Computer, Circuit Theory and Electronics. The second year reinforces this foundation with the more specialized areas including Communication Systems, Signals and Systems, Microelectronics. students can gain valuable practical experience through a final-year project.

  9. 3.The 2005-2006 entrance requirements are as follows: • AL Pure Mathematics plus 1AL/2AS subjects. One of these subjects • must be AL/AS Physics or AL Engineering Science. satisfy entrance • requirements specific to their desired programmes of study. • 4.career prospects: • PCCW, Hutchison Telephone, Microsoft, Motorola, National Semiconductor, • NEC, Smartone, Star TV, (Hong Kong Stock Exchange) etc
