Less than 50% of 3- to 6-year-old children in developing countries are engaged in any form of pre-primary education. • 0.1-0.2 % of GNP is what many developing countries spend on preschool education (well below the 2.36% spent in OECD countries). • ¼ of all children under 5worldwide are physically stunted (162 million children), with 56% of them living in Asia and 36% in Africa.
