  3. Banner User Support The Banner computer system is used to administer nearly all of the student, human resources and financial data generated by St. Louis Community College. Banner Self-Service is a part of that system, and it is used by faculty, students and staff to access the information that relates to their work with the College. Your first step is to log in to Banner Self-Service. (Continue)

  4. Banner User Support Open your internet browser to the College homepage at www.stlcc.edu. To access the Interactive Class Schedule: Click on the ADMISSIONS & REGISTRATION entry in the menu bar. Then select the Course Schedules option from the menu. (Continue) Return to menu

  5. Banner User Support The My STLCC webpage is displayed. Select the Banner Self-Service option from the menu items listed. (Continue) Return to menu

  6. Banner User Support The Self-Service Login page is displayed. This webpage provides information for students, faculty and staff about the Banner Self-Service system. Click on the green LOGIN! button to display the Self-Service login screen. NOTE: Important notices from Banner administration about the status of the system may be displayed.   7. Banner User Support Enter your User ID and PIN to log in. NOTE: Your nine digit User ID begins with an upper caseA, followed by 8 numbers, and appears on your College issued ID card. To log in to Banner Self-Service: Try these Help screens if you have problems Enter your User Identification Numberin the User ID field. Tab to the PIN field, and enter your numeric, six digit Personal Identification Number as the password. A01234567 123456 Click on the Login button. (Continue) Return to menu

  8. Banner User Support The Banner Self-Service menu is displayed when you are logged in. Your online information as an employee and faculty member of the College are accessible through this menu. The Personal Information link lets you change your PIN, mailing address, phone, e-mail address, directory information, as well as other important resources. The Faculty Services link is your activity center for working with your course and student information. The Employee Services link takes you to your employee benefits, job and payroll information.   9. Banner User Support The row of tabs functions the same as the major headings in the menu list below. This section of the screen may contain administrative messages, important system dates and deadline information. IMPORTANT ? NOTE: The Personal Information and Employee Services links are discussed in the Banner Self-Service for Employees tutorial. • The Faculty Services link is the topic for this lesson, in which you will become familiar with: • your course schedules • retrieving student information • reporting grades Click on the Faculty Services link from the Banner Self-Service menu.   10. Banner User Support The Faculty Services menu is displayed. There are two selection options on this screen. Term Selection is used to specify the school term for the menu options. CRN Selection is used to select from your assigned classes when using the class, grades and student information options. Always begin by selecting the school term. (Continue) Return to menu

  11. Banner User Support To choose the academic term: Select from the drop-down list of school terms. Then click on the Submit buttonto return to the Faculty Services menu. (Continue) Return to menu

  12. Banner User Support You do not need to use the CRN Selection option to view the Faculty Detail Schedule or Faculty Schedule options. You will however need to select the course to access the class, grades and student information. Click on the CRN Selection option to select from your assigned courses.   13. Banner User Support CRN Selection for Credit Spring 2007 To select from your assigned classes: Select the class needed from the drop-down list of courses. Then click on the Submit button to return to the Faculty Services menu. (Continue)

Banner User Support Select the Faculty Schedule option to view a weekly summary of your course schedules. 2007 This condensed course view gives you dates, days, course number, location and times. Notations in the list are explained. 2007 6 Each record gives you general information about the current College status for each student. The Course Attributes section shows general course information. 7 7 The Enrollment Counts section displays maximum and actual enrollment, and remaining openings for the course. 6 6 The Detail Class List section displays an alphabetical list of students enrolled in the course.   32. Banner User Support The Student Information Menu is used to work with the student data shown below. This menu gives you options for viewing student information, such as the class schedules for students in your courses for that term. NOTE: You can also access this same information by clicking on the name of the student on your class roster, and then following the links at the bottom of that page. (Continue) Return to menu

  33. Banner User Support If you go to the Student Information menu directly from the Faculty Services Menu you will need to select the term first. If you have already selected the term for the Faculty Services Menu, then you can start by clicking on the ID Selection link to find a student in the system. (Continue) Return to menu

  34. Banner User Support 2007 You can access a student’s records using two different methods. By College ID number OR By Name (Continue) Return to menu

  35. Banner User Support 2007 To search by Student ID Number: Enter the student’s College ID number in the Student or Advisee ID field. A01234567 When you click on the Submit button, the following screen is returned if the number is found. Click on the Submit button again to verify the selection and return to the Student Information Menu. (Continue) Return to menu

  36. Banner User Support 2007 To search for a student or advisee by name: Enter the person’s last name, or a partial spelling of the name in the Last Name field. NOTE: This inquiry is not case sensitive. Capitalization is not required. You may enter a first name or initial in the First Name field. Select the student needed from the list. Doe, John P. (All) A01234567 Click on the Submit button to select the student, and return to the Student Information Menu. You can also limit the search by selecting students or advisees only. Click on the Submit button to display the Selection screen. (Continue) Return to menu

  37. Banner User Support 2007 Once you have located a student, your first option is to viewgeneral student information. 2007 Enrollment and curriculum data are included with the Student Information link. 2010 2006 2006 (Continue) Return to menu

  40. Banner User Support 2007 Each course in the student’s schedule is listed individually with registration and schedule information. 6 The Student Schedule option is used to display a student’s current course list. 7 7 6 7 7 (Continue) Return to menu

  41. Banner User Support Academic Transcript is the only remaining option in the menu that is available to faculty. NOTE: Transcripts can only be accessed for students enrolled in your current courses, so it is more practical and convenient to access student transcripts through your current class rosters.
