  3. What is MAPS? • Minority Association for Pre-health Students • NOT limited to minorities • National organization spread over 150 undergraduate institutions • Undergraduate chapter of SNMA

What is SNMA? • Student National Medical Association • Governs MAPS • Regional conference • Region III (Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Colorado, Mississippi, Oklahoma, New Mexico) • Explore health careers, Financial aid info, Medical student life, Sample class, Student panel, Mock interviews, application overviews, admissions sessions,

Mission Statement • We are dedicated to increase the quality and quantity of pre-health students entering the health industry and becoming professionals that serves minority patients by: • Serving as a foundation for pre-health information through pre-professional office, SNMA, and any other resources • Working as a bridge to make connections with professionals in health field through conferences, professional guest speakers, and community outreach
