UVU Shared Governance Policy Development Model Overview

UVU follows a shared governance model in policy development involving students, staff, faculty, and administration for feedback. Roles like Policy Sponsors and Stewards are crucial throughout the policy process. The President's Council, Faculty Senate, Staff Employee Association (PACE), and Student Government (UVUSA) all play significant roles in providing input and feedback on policies. UVU has established a Policy Office to facilitate the policy development process, ensure compliance, and coordinate policy needs assessment and review.
