The Major Field Test • What is it? • It is a test given in many universities across the country to evaluate students’ knowledge in their major field. • When is it? • For College of Business majors it happens on either March 1st, March 2nd, or March 3rd. • Who takes it? • All graduating seniors majoring in business will take the College of Business MFT. • Why is it important? • Results impact students and their schools.  • Students could include high test scores on a resume therefore having the potential for influencing potential job recruiters.  • Also student scores can be compared across universities to show the relative strength of the students in those majors. • Furthermore, the university may obtain additional resources based on student test results. • How can you prepare? • The Management and Marketing Department has created a study guide which is on the S Drive in the “MGMTANDMKT” folder to help you prepare. • Please spend some time reviewing the materials so that you will do well on the test. Take it seriously and make MTSU proud.
