  1. Wassily Kandinsky Kandinsky was a Russian painter who was famous for creating abstract pictures with lots of colors and shapes.He was the first famous abstract artist! He wanted people to enjoy the colors and the shapes in his paintings. He said that good art does not have to look like something in a photo. Abstract art can be beautiful too! What do you think?

  3. Chuck Close In 1988 Chuck Close became paralyzed and he is now in a wheel chair. He did not have control of his arms and hands to paint the perfect photos that he did before…

  4. Chuck Close Instead of giving up on painting he decided to try a new style! He started painting with a grid. Up close his paintings look like squares and blobs, but far away they look like portraits!

Wassily Kandinsky Kandinsky was a Russian painter who was famous for creating abstract pictures with lots of colors and shapes.He was the first famous abstract artist! • Write your name on the back of your paper. • Your paper is folded into 8 sections. Find the middle of each section and trace the smallest circle on your circle tracer. • Put tracer to the side and practice drawing circles around your small traced circle. Only draw 3 circles around your traced circle. Try not to let them overlap into the next section! • Once each section is filled with cirlces, begin painting and mixing colors! If we put all of our drawings together they will look like a giant Kandinsky painting!!!
