Testing Windows • Four remaining EOC test windows: • December 2- January 17 • February 3- March 14 • April 1- June 13 • June 16- July 15 (CBT only) • Within each window, schools choose a 10-day window (consecutive days) to complete the four tests, including make-up sessions. • Within the 10-day window, schools choose 1 day per subject Note: MC1 and MC2 must be given in order on the same day. • May schedule multiple content tests on same day.

  4. Two Sessions • Two separate EOC sessions • Multiple Choice 1 (Paper or Computer) • Multiple Choice 2 (Paper or Computer) • Sessions are 45 minutes each • Paper sessions are timed by the test administrator. • Computer sessions are timed automatically by the computer.

  5. Current Status • Student Record Update • Removal of graduates from Vantage (2012 and 2013) • KDE/ACT upload/update of student accounts • Inactivate duplicate student accounts • Bulk Student Roster Upload Function • State Course Codes • Online Testing

Student Record Update Deadlines Update for April 1- June 13 Test Window • 1/14/14- Deadline to update student records in IC • Late January- Student records are updated in the ACT QualityCore online system. This will ensure student records are complete and accurate prior to April testing. Update for June 16- July 15 (CBT only)Test Window • 4/3/14- Deadline to update student records in IC • Late April- Student records are updated in the ACT QualityCore online system. This will ensure student records are complete and accurate prior to June testing.

  7. Removal of Graduates from Vantage • New Policy: Graduates from previous years will be deactivated as part of the student record updates. Students graduating this year will be deactivated early next year • Allows school staff time to print Individual Student Reports.

  8. Duplicate Student Accounts • KDE and ACT are working collaboratively to purge the system of duplicate accounts. • Duplicate accounts have been deactivated • Student names should be listed just one time when you add students to test rosters.

  10. Steps for Ordering • Confirm Unit Usage (DACs/Designee) • Create/Upload Users & Teachers (DACs/Designee) • Create/Upload Students (KDE/ACT, Local) • Create Class Test Rosters (Local) • Finalize Class Rosters (Local) Note: Valuable Resources are located at: www.act.org/stateservices/kentucky

Responsibilities • District or School Administrator: • Conduct Administration Code and Inclusion Training • Confirm Unit Usage per school • Determine Paper or Computer Testing • Estimate Number of Students Testing • No automatic overage. DAC/BAC should order additional tests per school. • Determine Testing Dates

  12. Responsibilities • School Administrator: • Options for Creating Class Rosters: • Name by school, course, teacher, period • i.e., CCHS, Algebra II, C. Greer, period 5 • Name by school, course, teacher • i.e., CCHS, Algebra II, C. Greer • Name by school, course • i.e., CCHS, Algebra II • Note: Separate class roster for extended time for computer based (specific timing).

Upload Class Test Rosters • Function allows users to add multiple student records to roster(s) via upload. • Detailed instructions are posted to ACT’s Kentucky State Services website. • Ad Hoc currently in Infinite Campus for each course • EOC Bulk Roster Registration Algebra II • EOC Bulk Roster Registration Biology • EOC Bulk Roster Registration English II • EOC Bulk Roster Registration U.   14. Responsibilities • School Administrator or Teacher: • Finalize Class Rosters • Verify all students to be tested are on roster. • No roster in SDRR at this time. • Print or save electronic copy to use as a reference for accountability in SDRR at the end of school year. • Create seating chart.

  15. Online Stress Test • Online Stress Test for November 20 was cancelled • Upgrades for large-scale users are impossible by the spring of 2014 • Current system is ultimately not designed to support a large number of concurrent users • ACT has plans for: • Managed online scheduling system • Faster return of paper results

  16. CBT Scheduling Tool • Tool will be available in early February • Requires users to schedule specific test dates and times • Initial e-mail will be sent to DACs

  17. Changes to Paper and Pencil processing • Expedited return shipping for answer documents • Expedited score reporting • Additional materials will be included in shipments to ensure sites can return documents for scoring as testing is completed.

  30. Test Security • The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) along with the testing contractor will be doing analysis of student responses and data to determine if possible inappropriate practices have occurred. • All instances of impropriety should be reported • Student • Testing staff
