Pre-Interview Tips • Research the Company • Check out their website • Talk to employees • Google them • Dress appropriately • No club attire • Women – Skirts or Suits • Men – Suit – tie recommended • Practice Makes Perfect • Practice responses to certain questions they may ask you • If you are nervous practice with a friend • Speak slowly

Interview • Promptness • You should arrive at least fifteen minutes early • Extra time leaves you room to prepare yourself • Make sure to let the secretary know you have arrived • Preparation • You should have at least two copies of your resume with you – One to refer back to and one to give to your interviewer • Bring your own pen

  4. Once you enter the interview • Immediately upon entering, shake hands with the interviewer • Ask if he/she has become familiar with your resume, if not offer resume to them • Carry yourself with confidence • Speak slowly (If you feel you are speaking to slow, you are speaking at the perfect pace) • Ask questions • BREATHE – It’s only an interview!

  5. Post Interview • Send a handwritten thank you note • Follow up with the employer • If you sadly do not land the job, don’t give up hope! There are a million jobs out there waiting for you!
