Ngompol dan Hujan Gus Dur diundang untuk mengisi pengajian di Jawa Tengah. Ia harus hadir pukul 10.00, tetapi sampai sore hari belum datang juga. Sampai di tempat, pukul 17.00! Saat itu hujan turun demikian lebatnya. “Ibu-ibu mestinya capek telah menunggu sejak pagi. Untungnya hujan lebat, ya Bu?! Jadi nggak panas. Ibu-ibu senang ya, kalau hujan?!” Jamaah pun menjawab dengan koor, “Senaaaang…!” Gus Dur melanjutkan, “Lha, ya senang, to. Kalau ngompol nggak kelihatan, wong di situ basah.”
