  4. Density • The unit weight of a material. • Weight divided by Volume. • Water: D = 1.0 g/ml • Wood: D = 0.6 g/ml • Stone: D = 2.2 g/ml

  5. Density Example Mr Deemer weighs 175 pounds. If you put Mr Deemer in a dunk tank he would displace about 5 cubic feet of water. Find Mr Deemer’s density in lb/ft3 and oz/in3.
